Fishing Season Returns to Pine Creek April 17, 2010

With about 50 Class A Wild Trout Streams and over 20 stocked, Potter County is a fisherman's dream and the fisherman were taking full advantage of this fact last Saturday for the opening day of Fishing Season in Potter County. The banks around Pine Creek in Galeton's Center Town Park were wall-to-wall anglers.

Fishing Licences are available in many local businesses and the PA Fish and Boat has a list that you can check out by clicking here. In addition to a fishing license, trout anglers 16 and older must also jave a Trout/Salmon Stamp (or Combination Trout-Salmon Stamp/Lake Erie Permit) to fish for trout. For those just coming for a few days, one, three, or seven day tourist licences are available.
